The inquiry in Central America was carried out by four working-groups, for Guatemala, (2 members), El Salvador (2), Nicaragua (4) and Honduras (2) with some members of the mission taking part in two successive groups. During this investigation, Mgr Battazzi visited the countries separately and met with the religious authorities. Additional interviews took place in Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico. In compliance with the wish of our catholic organizations to promote a communion of the churches, the members of the mission discussed with representatives from the church of Central Africa, during a seminar held at Panama (July 6th-10th), about the conclusion of the working-groups. This seminar was organized with Mgr. Macros McGrath, archbishop of Panama, who actively part in the preparation of the mission and contributed to the success.
