Samenvatting: This book is based on the Conference of the same name that was held in the St. David's Hall Cardiff, on January 21e 1983. The Conference was attended by over one thousand people. Although predominantly a medical audience, there were many other professional groups represented as well as individual members of the public. The Conference itself focussed on four issues which are of great concern in the current debate on nuclear weapons. The four main issues are: Medical consequenses of nuclear war, Health planning in relation to nuclear war, The threat and the reality of nuclear war, and The responsibility of physiscians.
